Terms of Service

By booking a car or service with GO MIRI, you agree to the following terms.

Driver requirements

  • Minimum age: 21 years old.
  • Valid Malaysian or international driving licence held for at least 1 year.
  • Valid IC or passport presented at pickup.

Booking confirmation

  • A booking is not confirmed until management approves it or full payment is received and verified. Verified paid bookings are automatically approved.
  • We currently accept cash at our Miri office or bank transfer, verified manually by our team.
  • Full rental fee is due before the car is released.
  • One rental day is 24 hours. Extra time is charged per hour at the rate for your car type; please confirm the hourly rate with Admin before extending your rental.

Refundable vehicle security deposit

Refundable security deposits: Hatchback RM200; Ativa RM200; Sedan RM300; Alza/Wish RM300; SUVs (Aruz, BR-V, HR-V, CR-V, X50, X70, CX-5, C-HR) RM300; Alphard/Vellfire RM500; Fortuner RM500. Outstation trips add RM100 to the refundable deposit, separate from any destination-based outstation fee. Other vehicles require Admin to confirm the amount. The deposit is separate from rental payment and returned by Admin after return and inspection.

Deposits for unlisted vehicles require Admin confirmation before paying. Outstation trips add RM100 to a confirmed refundable vehicle deposit; destination-based outstation fees are quoted separately.

Cancellations & refunds

  • Free cancellation at least 2 days (48 hours) before pickup: full rental refund, approved and processed by Admin.
  • Cancellation less than 2 days before pickup, late arrival or no-show: non-refundable.
  • Every refund requires management approval and may take up to 7 working days.
  • The refundable vehicle security deposit is handled separately, after the vehicle is returned and inspected.

Insurance & liability

All vehicles include comprehensive insurance. The renter is responsible for traffic offences, fuel and any damage not covered by insurance.

Cross-border travel

Outstation fees depend on the car type and destination. Please request an Admin quote before travel; the fee schedule is awaiting confirmation. These fees are separate from the refundable security deposit.

Brunei EES service is available — separate documentation applies. Trips outside Sarawak require written approval.
